It’s crazy bc I lived like 2 decades and then some in Texas and never talked about that stuff. As children we watched a video at the monument about Texas’s “war for independence” against Mexico and the main thing I remembered from it was how much the video dunked on Santa Anna for wearing silky women’s underwear.
