    I think the past ten or so years of Internet history has proven that you cannot force the entire world to share a single epistemology. The superstructure reflects the base. If there are contradictions in the base, they will manifest in the superstructure. You can try to paper over them, but ultimately it is like trying to hold two tectonic plates together with duct tape.

    Like many internet communities, Wikipedia will ultimately fracture due to these irreconcilable contradictions. Until then, there will be a lot of cringe.
