Left party plans to scrap NATO, end troop deployments

The socialist Left party has adopted its policy platform for Germany's September general election. Internationally, it is calling for NATO to be replaced and an end to troop deployments.

    Wow. Die Linke aren't worth much, but if they can get US troops out, all applause to them. Trump tried and was overruled by the national security state. If they could withdraw Germany from NATO that would be a game-changer. Let's hope they don't fuck it up with infighting.

      Very unlikely, they have around 10% of seats and are projected to lose some.

      Also an Anti-NATO stance doesn't seem to be a popular position in Germany.
