Thanks a lot for sharing, this is great and once again, I'm happy that you saw the (red tinted) light. I wish you great luck in your new learning journey, the same that we're all taking right now.

I think that one major thing that sets leftist thought apart from the default conservative or lib position is that it takes effort. The odds are stacked against thinking critically, it's in the interest of the ruling classes that people don't really take a moment to think about things, you should just work, work and work, and just swallow the thought-shaping slop that furthers what's convenient for those in power.

I have two recommendations for you. The first one is probably one of the most often repeated recommendations in this website, and that's Blackshirts and Reds, by Michael Parenti. That will break some of the historical myths surrounding communism, and will certainly open your eyes to some of the more manipulative aspects of common discourse.

The other one you might be familiar with, and it's our beautiful boys Adam Johnson and Nima Shirazi, from the podcast Citations Needed. They do something that's similar to what Parenti does, but instead focusing on media and consent-building narratives.

The left also has the best artists, music and coffee. Enjoy!
