on popcorn (with garlic powder, crystal hot sauce, and soy sauce: splash on liquid ingredients and toss to lightly coat, then put on dry ingredients and toss to mix in).

it tastes better when you get it from the bulk bin and label it as cornmeal so a pound costs like $.50

it's also good for making vegan mac & cheese: make pasta. make a sauce in a pan: half nootch, half flour, enough water to make it completely liquidy/watery, a heavy splash of olive oil, a squirt of mustard, some Tony C's, and a smallish splash of soy sauce. whisk together continuously as it heats until boil, then turn it to low until it's almost the thickness you want for your cheese sauce. take it off the heat and it will continue to thicken as it cools a bit. pour over the pasta. YUMMMMM

Toast with Earth Balance, garlic powder, a tasteful dusting of nutritional yeast and coarse black pepper. What a treat!

It needs some extra help to taste like cheese, but it's really good in cheese sauce. Something like this

Find a local health food store that has bulk dry goods. Failing that, Trader Joe's or Whole Foods have it, but I have noticed some bigger stores carrying it in small containers by the baking supplies.

back in my commune days we called it nyf/nif (nutritional yeast flakes)

    nyf is acceptable:

    • on popcorn
    • in vegetarian gravies

i had to choke down way too much macaroni and yeast back in those days

John 3:2, NIV: "He came to Jesus at night and said, 'Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.'"

Umm… wtf type of signs was Jesus performing at night with this fellow?

Best thing to put it on? You mean you can eat things without it?

Fun fact: if you eat a lot of nooch, you can turn your urine a bright neon yellow from excess B12.

It's a cheesy sort of flavor but also unique. I like it on popcorn a lot, it also works well with burritos and soups

Have you ever made pan fried mushrooms, and very nearly but not quite burnt them? It tastes like that smell. I don't think it's cheesy, but it's extremely savory.
