Hot take here. I find this to be kinda cheap, tacky and if it's not bad game design it's atleast uncreative.
Maybe that flag will be the same in 54 hypothetical years, but I would assume it would change a little bit. Maybe she is "retro" I dunno.
They could have done something with the colors as the paintjob on the car, made it holographic, animated, a cool shape, or really anything beyond just copy/paste a rectangular jpg. Lazy Crass is what it is.
edit: remembered this was made by a studio known for overworking their developers, not some Indy Studio. I'm sure they did their best.
the rainbow flag has been roughly the same since 1978 and there's no indication it'll change soon
I don't know the setting well, but considering that trans people are apparently used as exploitative fetish fuel in 2077, I would expect there are still people who'd promote for trans rights with whatever symbols still work. I'm talking about that one poster advertising some pornographic TV show about a trans sex worker.
it is lazy though, you're right. The entire game is lazy and has awful politics. We're supposed to be a cyber"punk" and we're doing missions for the cops? Yeah ok
In 2077 it's implied that swapping out body parts is so commonplace that it would be ridiculous to care either way. If anything you'll get dunked on for wearing last year's genitals.
Can't say I agree. It means a lot to people in the world now so I think it is important that it is not altered from that, and honestly I can't see the flag changing in 54 years. The gay pride flag hasn't really changed since it's inception in 1978.
It's the sort of thing someone would put on their car and I feel it fits right in.
Fair enough, hadn't thought about it from that angle. I can see how it could attract negative attention if it was messed up. Still seems lazy though, couldn't make it neon? :edit I'm just complaining for fun, I'm sure they didn't stop overworking the developers.

She is, actually. If I'm remembering right, one of her things is she doesn't have any implants or mods at all.
Nice, I appreciate that. Never played it.
