I always put my glass casseroles things on top of rags and never directly on the counter. Sister tells me to do this because the temp difference will cause ti to crack
Well at least it didn't break or anything though I sometimes use a wooden cutting board for putting hot things on to cool.
Somewhere you should be able to get like a cork or a cloth trivet for cheap. That's what you really really want for setting bakeware on. Looks great!
