Well my dog got her first injection for heart worms and she seems to be in some major pain. She doesn’t really make noise when she’s hurt but she’s softly whimpering and pacing around trying to get comfortable. I’m hoping some trazodone will help her rest :deeper-sadness:

Yeah It’s a lil brutal ngl I hate to see her hurt and not be able to help. Of course the vet is closed now so I can’t get anything :/

Trazodone seems to have helped a bit tho she finally got in her kennel and is being a bit more still

I'm sorry comrade, if you can stay near her, sometimes being by people they love helps. If she not in the mood for headpats sometimes just being near can help their mood I feel.

Thanks yeah luckily I’m basically self employed so I’ll be spending as much time with her as I can, when I have to work I’m just gonna work around my partners schedule.

She got a little bit of rest but now she’s a bit restless again. Might give her another dose and just get her through tonight til I can get her pain medicine tomorrow morning

Wish you luck comrade, these kinda situations can be draining and worrying. Rooting for you dog to pull through with no heart worms and stronger than ever

Yea that’s pretty much what we’re going through now. She’s a border collie so I’m worried about her wanting to be too active

Also she’s a rescue (that’s why she had heart worms) so she kinda gets a little anxious when we’re not around, she’s not necessarily needy she just likes to know we’re nearby in case she needs is I guess lol

I’m glad your dog is doing well and healthy!
