Well yes, make sure you can have a relatively successful strike before doing it.
Illegal here usually means not protected, so yes you can but they can then fire you with cause. Not discouraging you, just factor it into your strategy.
There are quasi strike options like sick outs and coordinated slowdowns that might be hard to track, if you're looking for options.
Also, any chance you can form a union, given that you have enough people to plan a strike?
