Tangentially related but Just want to put it out there for any comrades who don’t know, apparently virtually all d8 flower on the market is super unsafe and you shouldn’t smoke it
The only safe way to consume d8 is in carts, gummies, or concentrate
D8 is derived from cbd hemp and you can’t get flower (probably pre rolls too by extension) to have enough of it to get have an intoxicating effect. (Which is also probably why you didn’t get much from it)
When you see d8 flower it basically is just cbd hemp/flower that they coat with d8 concentrate but to get the concentrate fluid enough to be sprayed they have to use a solvent that’s actually toxic to smoke.
Apparently they pretty much all fail the test to make sure that solvent isn’t still on the flower in levels that exceed safe for consumption
Yeah it’s shady af which is why I always try to warn people. Par for the course for America, dumbass half measure just introduces new problems.
If they can sell this shit they can sell real weed, it’s whack.

Long story short, d8 flower is actually cbd flower coated in d8 concentrate to make it intoxicating and they use solvents like isopropanol to make d8 concentrate fluid enough to spray it on the flower. The solvents are toxic and virtually all of them fail the test to show that the solvent doesn’t exceed levels safe for consumption.
You can find a vanishingly small amount that are ok on the market I’m sure but I personally wouldn’t risk it and would just use gummies, carts, or concentrate if I was gonna consume d8
Have you tried growing your own comrade? It's super easy, don't take much space, and really fun. There's a bunch of helpful guides on the internet too. I do a couple plants a year in my shitty basement apartment, give a lot of weed and edibles to friends and comrades, and still have way more than I can ever imagine finishing myself
Yeah cause they're indoor they're smaller but I still I get around 1-2 oz of flower and half an oz of trim (for edibles) per plant, I mostly vape the flower so I don't go through it too quickly. My first couple plants had lower yield while I was still learning and stuff but i get pretty consistent yields now :stalin-smokin:
Per plant? It's usually about 4 months from start to finish for one plant if that's the question
Yeah, if it helps you can still grow a decent size plant in a little grow tent or space bucket that you can keep like in the back of a closet or something - r/spacebuckets and r/microgrowery have a lot of creative apartment-sized stealth grows. Yield can get a little worse when you go smaller but I can get an oz out of a bucket grow pretty consistently. It's a lot of fun, if you can figure out a good stealth setup I highly recommend it!
I'll smoke one out for you, really glad I'm square enough to not even have entertained the idea of trying it until it had been legal for years cuz otherwise I would have hard as hell time finding any
Take a bus to a legal state and stock up? They usually put stores right on the border lol
