“War won lands” lol. anyone have a thread going documenting US media talking about Israeli occupation and apartheid as some ancient tribal conflict shrouded in antiquity?

The first two paragraphs...

Ben & Jerry’s said Monday it was going to stop selling its ice cream in the Israeli-occupied West Bank and contested east Jerusalem, saying the sales in the territories sought by the Palestinians are “inconsistent with our values.”

The announcement was one of the strongest and highest-profile rebukes by a well-known company of Israel’s policy of settling its citizens on war-won lands. The settlements are widely seen by the international community as illegal and obstacles to peace.

lol this is a PR stunt to get people to look the other way. Ben & Jerry’s doesn’t give a shit about Palestine. People were trying to boycott them for their ties to Israel and this is just to muddy the search results on google when you try to look up “boycott Ben and Jerry’s”.

Didn't the Ben and Jerry guys support Bernie through pretty much all his campaigns - Including his Mayoral run?

Probably, you can support imperialism sometimes and good takes other times. Lotsa people do it. They also pay their workers better afaik but I also know there were people calling attention to their factory and licensee in Israel during the strikes and calling for a boycott. Now when you try to google it all that comes up is this news story.

My understanding was that BDS targeted Ben and Jerry's over production in the occupied West Bank, not consumption.
