WTF is the point of vaccinating people if all you’re going to do is piss away the benefits by not mandating that people show proof of vaccination.

Purely as a box ticked to say "ok you have no excuses for getting sick now. we're reopening at full speed and if people continue to get sick it'll be their faults for being unvaccinated, not ours". The vaccine apparently actually being somewhat effective is incidental
