So yesterday or the day before idk I made a meme that I thought was cool because it talked about breaking the spirit of an army recruiter, and posted it here. The thing I had completely ignored was that the meme was basically: “effects of the us army pr on mind: [man gets sad after abuse from twitch chat]”. I obviously should have known better than just post this meme, as it brought up being a cog in the imperialist death machine in a totally unnecessary and gamerphobic way. I realize now that calling it out does not make up for posting it in the first place, hence why I would like to apologize for making people feel unsafe on this platform. I get that life can get really extra shitty when you’re a gamer and such kind of stupid memes really don’t help. Making gamers, or any part of this community feel uncomfortable on this website was never my intention but I guess as a non-gamer, which means the attack wasn’t directed at me specifically, I was just able to ignore the gameist part of the meme.

I sure as fuck should have known better and I’m sorry. As of right now I’ve deleted the post and the best I can do is prolly promise I won’t reiterate that bullshit again. I know it’s certainly not my place to lecture people but if you’re a non-gamer and you see that kind of shit being posted please downvote it; the reason I’m saying this is, the person who posted the comment that led me to take down the post and apologize said they were mad at me, but even more so at the people who upvoted it, even tho the responsibility falls on me first, of course. I think saying this is the very least I can do to undo the wrongs I did.
