    honestly as long as you don't mind 1 or 2 making their way online indirectly like that and having to deal with that the old fashioned way (talking to them, asking them to delete them, removing them from the group that receives the pics if necessary), the technical solution could at least significantly reduce the effort involved in maintaining such a policy, though it wouldn't solve it outright

      That’s been my exact experience! In my case, it was getting the grandparents an iPad and using iCloud shared albums. They weren’t able to export the photos from the tablet, and that stemmed the tide for a good while.

      Maybe it’s retribution for the times I didn’t listen to them as a kid, but at least I had the excuse of being a kid
