After a group of violent protesters attempted to reach the residence of Peruvian President Pedro Castillo on Saturday, July 31, security presence has been reinforced, as there are already early signs of a growing political siege against the new president who assumed the role only a few days ago on July 28.
I'm just waiting for that to be turned around and used as an excuse for US "intervention."
US interventions are typically revolutions and coups. Consolidating power within those you trust is how you protect your government from those things. It's like saying, "if I get stronger my bully will use that as an excuse to beat me up."
