Have a feeling I’m gonna have to eat that tonight.
It’s the kind of bland stuff that comes in blocks.

Ive already tried mixing in some garlic and onion powder and hot sauce and that worked pretty okay, but I want to make it even better.

First step in making "fast" ramen is to toss the seasoning packet and use your own bouillon/MSG mix imo

What do you have in terms of seasonings and potential add-ons?

Personally, I have good experiences by soft-boiling an egg in the ramen broth before I put the noodles in

Not vegan but soft boiled egg is really easy and tasty.

I usually keep frozen veggies and thinly sliced meat in the freezer for ramen or udon. Toppings like corn, veggies, and a boiled egg are quite nice.

I don't know what goes on chemically but the combination of ramen broth and a boiled egg are chefskiss.

Green onions are always in mine. I also like bok choy, mushrooms, tofu, and maybe some hot sauce if i'm using the packages it comes with.

Green onions, frozen veggie mix, shiitake mushrooms, bok choy, and sesame seeds are hard to go wrong with.

Briefly saute diced celery, bok choy, tofu, peppers, mushrooms, and onions together in a pan and then add to the ramen. Dried seaweed also adds a lot of savory.

Over time i've gradually built up a stock of ramen fixings like green onions, miso, hondashi, mirin, dried seaweed to the point i can make a basic broth with an egg and some microwavable noodles and i'm good to go. Think i still need some dried shitaki mishrooms tho.

quickly pan fry some mushrooms. Green onions are great on top.

Peanut butter in ramen is also really good.

Oh, almost forgot: cooking the noodles in soup is also a fun idea. Cream of mushroom is my favourite, but a vegetable soup mix works incredibly well too.

if you're lazy, i like keeping the broth a little runny and adding a large scoop of peanut butter and some sriracha
