voice chat is weird. I like talking to my friends on our own comms while goofing around in games, but strangers doing open voice chat creep me out.

also, like half the time it's a really squeaky/high pitched voice calling me racial/homophobic/misogynistic slurs. which at first my brain registers as "angry young gamer woman" making the experience have a surreal quality, until I realize it's probably a shitty little kid.

I simply cannot understand why anyone would play a moba alone. It's a miserable fucking genre and the detached nature of the single unit rts robs it of the potential joy of movement and friction.

Its fine if you just enjoy playing the game and aren't insanely invested in winning every match.

League would have been a decent game if it wasn’t so fucking long lol. Feels like most of the animosity comes from being locked into a match for an hour with a team of varying skill levels.

Gamers get the gulag, of course.

It's the length coupled with the fact you can tell you're going to lose within the first engagement.

You have to lose for an hour.

How is a game that has no voice chat still one of the most toxic? It’s like they’re forced to get creative and in the process create new monstrosities
