    The alternative is that the queue is flooded with absolute trash. Memes need to be sequestered or that's all a subreddit will devolve into. Questions, it tends to be the same few questions asked ad nauseum, and that will turn regular users away. There's an argument to be made for disallowing short comments that tend to be bad one-liners and thoughtless comments.

      just make separate but affiliated subs for content you don't want on the main sub so people can shitpost in peace
