Getting into the workout groove slowly but surely.

If you don't recognize my username I'm the fella with pectus excavatum/rib flare/anterior pelvic tilt. All the fun stuff.

I've noticed some gains, but I've also noticed a (potentially) weird thing regarding my chest. I still have no muscle/fat/etc for a large portion of the middle of my chest. My limited pecs are getting a little bit bigger but growing...idk outward?..instead of covering my chest like I'd hoped. Is this normal or am I doomed?

Cheers

I don't have anywhere near the issues you do and I'm not a physical therapist or trainer, however when I first started getting gains in my pecs, it was on the outside of my chest. As you described. Eventually those gains moved inward and my pecs developed out forward instead of just to the side.

    If that makes sense.

No worries. My best advice is to just keep at it. Especially if you're not working with a trainer. It takes a while to figure what works best for you.

Might be because I'm a little older now, but it doesn't bother me to wait to see results. I try something for at least 2 or 3 weeks. If I see positive changes, I keep going in that direction. If nothing, I look up something else to try.
