Hey y'all, I'm currently living in a rental property on the edge of some fairly dense old-growth forest. There are currently some pretty aggressive vines making their way up some of the trees. I'm 99.9% sure they aren't Kudzu and they don't seem to match any invasive species in this area (although info on them is somewhat limited). There's plenty of trees that I'm fairly certain have already died due to the vines out-competing them and there are many more branches that have collapsed due to the extra weight. I don't think I could convince the landlord to do anything about them (part of the forest is on their property) even if they were demonstrably invasive. Should I just let natural selection take its course or should I be gearing up for a protracted people's war against the vines?
Edit: There also appear to be multiple species of vine, but I can't get a positive ID on any of them except some poison ivy on some already dead trees
yes dooo iiit. Forest management is cool
Well if random strangers on the internet tell me it's cool...
