Haven’t read this yet but curious about everyone’s thoughts on the Adolph Reed controversy.
He's the prime example of using accusations of class reductionism in order to shut down all discussion of class. He's been on TMBS a number of times, if you want to hear him speak (not sure if there are other podcasts who have hosted him).
Probably would have IMO, even though I usually think cancel culture is a nebulous cloud used to pummel the left.
reading some of his work, it uh, is not what i would describe as "class reductionism" though i would not exactly agree with all of it.
a shame, because a talk with him probably would have been enlightening for many in the dsa. oh well.
