very interested how the album is gonna be. i remember i was a WLR hater at first like a lot of ppl but it grew on me tremendously pretty quick. no way this one will be anything like it or nearly as impactful but i've liked all the snippets so far. bummed he's working with kanye lol
I’m still a WLR hater. It has some decent songs but I dislike how weirdly electronic it sounded despite it being labeled as “rage music”. Maybe I’m biased because I was around for Working on Dying during its SoundCloud days, and it sounded much more menacing back then, and F1lthy’s beats barely had any of the signature sound.
Not that I give a shit about carti or his shows, but it also was funny seeing clips of his live shows and all he does is scream and walk around because his fans are down bad and the album was basically created for people to mosh instead of carti performing
His new stuff seems refreshing though
You hear his live sets before? The guitar is wonderful

The live renditions are pretty cool, but carti himself usually doesn’t add anything unless you’re there to go wild and his screams help you get pumped

danggg that's tough i guess i don't know enough about Working on Dying, my first experience with them was the project Bladee did with them and just seeing how they have curated the entire new rap sound since then. i agree he's a bad performer lmao, WLR is 100% just made to mosh to and nothing else. i got to see him live at a festival tho and all i really care about is moshing so it's perfect for me haha
Yeah in addition to moshing, it seems like WLR was also just branding a new aesthetic. It seems like the new album might try to go back to being “musical” because he’s been experimenting with new vocals and beats. Maybe that’s why he named it “Music” lmao
