I guarantee most seniors cannot actually work kitchens in any useful way. You have to be able to walk quickly on a slippery floor with hit surfaces around you, carrying shit with other people going everywhere, it's hot, it's fast paced and exhausting. They probably have them cutting veggies somewhere in the back and not really contributing much. It's a hard job and very demanding physically. You can't just walk in and be good at it
It won't, it's a hobby for these weirdos and if they aren't being treated like they're special heroes and expected to actually work they'll take their ball and go home. See if they'll stay late when a table of 20 comes in ten minutes before close.
It won't cause they aren't depending on it to live and can leave whenever they want.
true and customers will probably treat them better too

Also true. I wonder if this will last long?

Oh god, I'm getting flashbacks to all the shitty jobs I've had. I'm guessing you've been there too by the sound of it.
Over ten years as a cook. Being over 40 is too old to be doing it, it's genuinely not safe for seniors, like they could die or kill someone else
Definitely
I'm just insulted by it as well. Like oh, you think you can just walk in and do what I do? Fuck no.
Jesus. :fidel-salute:
I worked as a server at 'upscale burger joint' for about one year and it made me want to kms (literally)
My first job was at a sub shop and I learned for the first time what a small business tyrant was. I worked there for a few months, then I quit.
