:vegan-edge: Veganism isn't a diet, it's about animal liberation.

Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose

Made :bean:s last night with mushrooms. The beans are like me :im-vegan:.

    Serious bean reflections

As much as it's cool to bean talk here idk there are some memories of beans I'd like to go into. Growing up beans, rice and tortillas had been a stable food for us. Beans more or less been linked to us to not having money since whenever parents had money we either go out to eat or get meat. Even now when I cook them I can't cook them plainly they need veggies, spices, tomato sauce etc.

There was also the lame ass racist word of can't say it since censored which no one had the guts to say to me but the worry of being called a stereotype kinda straight jacketed me from enjoying beans openly. I rarely if ever hear that term now but during middle school I remember it being a thing.

Don't know where I'm going with this guess I just wanted to give my history with beans.

Gonna go eat a bowl of beans now :big-cool:

Just suffered through a work meeting where everyone around me was eating murdered animals and the products of the animals' oppression

The greens recipe here looked interesting since I have some kale and tomatoes I needed to use, so I tried the recipe for greens along with the jerk spiced lentils, along with a prepackaged vegan Mac I had hanging around and it was an excellent dinner. Thanks for sharing! Will have to try out her other recipes too!
