Actually I think most of the grunts just went back online after Charlottesville. Then the rest of them joined local honey pots and larps like the Proud Boys or Boogaloos. But yeah Upper Class guys like Spencer just realized that the way things are heading, the traditional political machine can already satisfy them.
Yeah unite the right was kind of the beginning of the end for them. Then covid came along and totally torpedoed Trump. His final fuck you to washington on 1/6 pretty much made civilized society hate MAGA with a passion. Which is why I'm 50/50 on Trump running again in 2024.
The thing is I don't think 1/6 made anybody who doesn't already hate Trump hate him, and that group was already hysterical way before 1/6. Sure he alienated his base for a minute, but the little piggies are right back to eating his slop. I think it's the COVID recession that really nailed his grave, along with the desire to go back to a Pre-Trump cultural landscape.
