Also the way she talks is... bizarre. I don't think I've ever heard a small child talk like that, it sounds more like a drunk adult man.

I had no idea what you were talking about because I don't do social media, but from the video you posted, that's just Mona from Nanalan' which is a pretty classic Canadian kids show from the early 2000s which my little sister adored.

Yes, Nanalan' is weird, because being 3 is weird.

Idk, I've seen other kids shows, even puppet kids shows, that didn't weird me out. Nobody on Sesame Street creeps me out, granted that is for slightly older kids.

Her voice specifically, something about just sounds off to me.

I mean it isn't actually a child, it's a fully grown adult man doing the VA work if that's your gripe. Idk, a lot of kids shows back in the day don't use child actors because it used to be a lot harder to do so, child actors used to be a lot worse (probably largely due to poor direction) and nobody could budget the time and resources to actually work consistently with one kid VA. Truly kids are spoiled today with the masterpiece that is Bluey, I assume.

I don't care that it's an adult, or a man, plenty of kids shows have good voice work done by non-kids and actors who's gender doesn't match the characters gender. Again it's a weird thing to put a pin on but I don't feel the voice sounds like a child or matches the look of the character, again to me it almost just sounds like a badly inebriated person.

It's just nanalan mate. I guess I'm biased cause I grew up with the golden age of canadian cartoons and children's media, but it's just people remixing a cute children's educational show into memes. That's one of the oldest joke formulas on the internet.

I see these kinds of comments about a lot of older and even modern children's media. And frankly, I don't get it. It's a cute looking puppet that does a good job of standing in for a fictionalized three year old. What's so creepy about it?

Specifically the way she talks kinda weirds me out. Hard to say why, but it doesn't really sound like a kids voice to me, or even an adult doing a kids voice.

Plenty of other kids shows have character talk fairly normal, Sesame St you can understand what the characters are saying.

But I wanna see PG-13 pics of hot ladies! I don't watch hardcore porn anymore but sometimes I need something to get me going.
