So, in the last, pre-ban BMF_AMA thread https://hexbear.net/post/135908 , our favorite poster and performance artist kept talking about secret codes and shit, specifically the cryptic word "ZXhygen." I got curious and googled it, and found a spooky hypnosis youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Lq6CTlhHnE

The caption of the video appeared to be gibberish, but is actually a simple substitution cipher (a ROT13 cipher), that when decrypted, yields:

"IN 1964, MKSEARCH WAS THE NAME GIVEN TO THE CONTINUATION OF THE MKULTRA PROGRAM. THE MKSEARCH PROGRAM WAS DIVIDED INTO TWO PROJECTS DUBBED MKOFTEN/CHICKWIT. FUNDING FOR MKSEARCH COMMENCED IN 1965, AND ENDED IN 1971.[33] THE PROJECT WAS A JOINT PROJECT BETWEEN THE U.S. ARMY CHEMICAL CORPS AND THE CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY'S OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT TO FIND NEW OFFENSIVE-USE AGENTS WITH A FOCUS ON INCAPACITATING AGENTS. There are a couple other spooky hypnosis videos on that same channel, also with cyphertext captions that are decrypted the same way. Seems like pretty standard ARG stuff, although the videos themselves are pretty creepy. It's also amusing to see comments on the videos that just say "Nice" or "Good stuff!"

There was also a reddit discussion about ElsaGate (search for that if you wanna get real creeped out) that came up. I don't think any of these things are connected, except for containing "ZXhygen" which is just "MKultra" in ROT13.

So anyway, yeah, if you were curious what BMF was referencing, it's MK ultra. Neat.
