John Brown was going to give the slaves pikes and whatever they did with those pikes I'd have the same question I have toward the Haitian revolution. "What were you doing being white in Haiti?" If you're white on a plantation, you're either enabling it or stand to legally inherit it. That's a choice made by the father to put their children in a position of extreme danger when they could have just worked for a living. Any violent reaction from those he terrorised is defensive, not a spontaneous injection of new violence.
Yeah this guy seems pretty based. Not sure I agree that kidnapping is less notable than the bleeding-Bible gimmick, but hey, it was the olden days.
Kidnapping was just a thing you did to make a point back then. Debatelords just had houses full of stolen children at times.
