We forked from Lemmy to add some features and planned on merging back in at some point, but then the dev team burnt out and we don't want to lose our emoji system lol
We had to fork off with regular Lemmy, at the moment federation isn't as large a priority as it was for them. Also I was/am busy and can't devote much time to the project
It still is on my "todo" list for the record. I guess the first step is to understand the Apub standard since that shit confused me the first time I read through lol
