In the american constitution free trade between the states is enshrined, it's heresy to say that people shouldn't be allowed to leave their state in the age of the corona virus. My proposition is crossing state borders should require a passport in the same vein as the soviet union required. This is not an anti immigrant stance, I believe that the people of afghanistan and others displaced by american imperialism have a right to be here but maybe not in new york city and los angeles, it would be much better to resettle refugees in areas like the appalachians and new england where the resources are abundant and the demographics need to be shifted from a white majority. The american highway system is also contributing to the spread of corona virus, it should be dismantled and replaced with passenger and cargo rail line not because automobile ownership is environmentally destructive but people could be screened before getting on the train which would cut down on much of the criminal activity aided by automobile anonymity. And dividing travel between states wouldn't be enough, states like california, texas, new york, and florida need to be broken up into several different areas requiring passports. That's my two cents, if you disagree fuck you.
The passport required is the rural cops who pull you over and give you a ticket for having out of state plates.
I'm more thinking shut down the roads that would allow a car to enter another state. Dismantle the automotive industry!
If what you're proposing is train travel only ... I'm listening.
This post is garbage, I'm making another. It involves privatizing highways, but don't worry, I think it would decrease car use.
Toll roads?
Tolls roads, private companies not maintain toll roads, a general decease in highway quality that would lead to more public transport use.
What public transport?
I think of it as a cold turkey solution.
