    no, the BPP was Maoist due to the praxis of protracted peoples war and the anti imperialism of the PRC, it had very little to do with drugs. though they did talk about the manufactured Chinese opium epidemic and make links between it and the crack being pushed in black communities

      yeah there's a quote from one of the panthers somewhere about anywhere poc are building their own societies was a good thing for all poc, can't find it rn bc i'm working. I think mostly they were inspired by mao and china's revolution as a successful example of an anti imperialist project
