It's called mediation and its what libs worship, centering everything around this idea of civility so that every scenario has both sides needing to "compromise" and come together, ignoring of course what matters which is power and one side will benefit from this "compromise" a lot more than the other, who might even suffer as a result, so "compromise" just means "status quo"
