I mean I gues it all comes down to your own philosophical outlook on life, but I tend to agree with the Buddhist and Pessimistic view that life is a long cycle of desire, fleeting satisfaction or even disappointment, boredom, and once again desire. I can totally see how even billions could still leave someone unsatisfied, right or wrong.
That's also part of why we need socialism, because while "muh human nature" is a meme in leftist circles, I say much of human nature is an argument for ML policies; why do we have a system that encourages some of the worst behaviours people have to offer?
