So it looks like that 40% of too far goners will be here until we die.
Americans probably assumed that climate science is what the weatherman does

They’re saying that people in charge are wasting time doing racism instead of fighting climate change.
I didn't call it a distraction to suggest it is not a very real and serious thing that causes a lot of harm to people. Racism should be fought mercilessly by everyone on the left.
I called it a distraction because the right uses it to create a constant barrage of culture war bullshit that keeps the left on the defensive and suffocates any discussion about issues like inequality or the climate, issues that can only be resolved by political action that would seriously anger the bourgeois and white middle-income voters.
I'm middle aged too. Where I grew up, as a kid we had fairly cold winters and you could reliably count on a few snowfalls each winter of 7.5-15 cm each.
By the time I'm an old man, the climate there will be basically what New Orleans is today (conservative estimate). Depresses the hell out of me.
waste time on distractions like racism
Why does AOC not care about the lives of Latin Americans whose rare earth minerals are needed for the "eco-socialist" grift?
What's the statistic for 26-35? I'm feeling fairly doomer even if I'm not in immediate danger.
Uh, don't know if you have been reading the news lately, but yes you are.
I mean I could die early enough that I wouldn't be subjected to the worst of it. Which is grim, but hey, gesturing all around me.
Well I guess it depends on what you mean by the worst of it. Massive wildfires, hurricanes and flooding, increased tornado activity/broader range - all that is happening right now. Seems I pretty bad and plenty lethal.
I mean like having to leave my home constantly or forever because of storms or the ocean in my front yard. Which, in only about 5 miles from there, so not too far off.
