It's not going to be some "this is what they're eating/injecting now" type thing.

I recently entertained a conversation with a stranger at a wedding who turned out to be a chud. More or less let them speak at length before I responded. The general gist was that Ron Desantis will be the next president and he'll solve our problems via dominating China.

The guy was pretty focused on jobs lost to china. I asked him who makes the decisions about shifting manufacturing abroad, the workers or the corporate managers. He answered the corporate managers which allowed me to ask if he felt the workers should have a say in the matter which kind of stumped him. He then doubled down on Desantis.

My point is that the "next thing" will be China.

china has been "the thing" in foreign policy for years now. there are anti-china propaganda pieces every single day on the BBC. it is bi-partisan and a project of the entire anglosphere by idiots who want another cold war to continue the anti-communist crusade that has been a constant campaign of global murder and warfare since the 1800s.

Jesus. It's so this. Rs and some Ds love shitting on China because it's an easy scapegoat and checks all the typical xenophobic boxes. The problem is actual capitalists love China so it puts otherwise hawkish and/or conservative elites at crossroads.

Good point. They're gonna triple down on the New Cold War rhetoric during the 2024 primary

It already is. $300,000,000 per year is going to be put towards dragging China in media till 2026.
