They fucked that show up so hard it isn't even worth talking about. The bones of the plot at the end there were actually pretty good. Everyone was just who they'd always been, but on different soil. Maybe if D&D hadn't fucked up the screen-writing so hard, libs could have had a bit of an "Ah ha, maybe imperialism is bad, aktuly!" moment as a treat when Mother of Dragons decides to level a western city with the same zeal she employed in the east. Maybe the zombies could have been more than just zombies and the Starks could have been more than just Protagonists In Plot Armor and the story could have been more than just something we choose to forget about as soon as its over.
But, like, nobody is comparing themselves to that show anymore because it sucked. If you need me, I'll be writing up a comparison between Kamala Harris and Elayne Trankard in anticipation of the new Wheel of Time TV Show.
Man, I'm super looking forward to that show actually. Respect on Robert Jordan for having an exit plan for his life's work and for exploring what if men did original sin. Makes up for the offputting femdom vibes, absolutely cannot say the same for Terry Goodkind
I never got Goodkind. His books were so obviously LotR rip offs. They all felt more or less the same. Everything was telegraphed.
Just do R.A. Salvatore's Drizzit series if you're going to lean this hard on pulp fantasy. Or, hell, Raymond E. Feist deserves a TV deal by now, doesn't he?
I only got into to Goodkind because I was a horny preteen and I've never read Salvatore. But shit, you've unlocked my Raymond E Feist memories and that motherfucker should've definitely gotten a TV deal alongside Jordan. Maybe the first two books are too WoW-esque or something
My favourite meme in Wheel of time is Elaine falling into a trap for the 100 th time or getting claped by other power wielders and then being told: "how brave and queenly she is".
However, Kamala could also be Egwene, Just an unrepentant social climber, power-hungry with ambition and an Institutionalist. Maybe that describes hillary more
Was Egwene a climber? I thought that was more Mat. Honestly, Egwene just looked like she was getting dragged from one plot point to another against her will.
