there was a "former tankies" subreddit (which i can't seem to find right now) and someone made a post asking what made them a "tankie" and which books they had read. every singles answer said that they were radicalized by memes and that "they don't have time to read books". definitely sounded like they were very serious Marxists.
Wish we got more of these, must be our militant support for LGBTQ people and open hatred for fascists that prevents that from happening. Definitely something I kinda miss from the old sub, the best we get now are tragically transparent and inept wreckers and chuds that just spam bigoted copypastas
Few know this site even exists. On reddit you could discover subreddits a variety of ways, but you can't do that here. You have to seek it out specifically. Moreover it's very easy to break one of the multitude of rules so when new users stumble over one and get banned, they don't bother coming back.
I'd ask but I would probably get banned. One of my favorite comments is this one though:

Someone should post a poll like the screenshot from the :funny-clown-hammer: sub asking how many books on communism/anarchism they've read.

Yeah I'm a tankie, I play with the Soviet tanks only in World of Tanks
