The fact that said America Robot is lobbing nukes at the US government remnants and people still miss the point is telling. This is why you can't have cool things in satire.

It is literally a gigantic piece of garbage held together by chewing gum built as a vanity project by a failing empire in an almost 1:1 analogue of the Maus, whose only two uses were to throw nuclear bombs at comically evil institutions of the USA while screaming McCarthyist slogans.

They dressed the remnants of the US empire up as the SS in the third game

I feel like the problem is that we didn't really see much of the "held together by chewing gum" part. We saw an effective war-machine that mopped the floor with mid-high level mooks.

Maybe if LP was immediately destroyed just before you reach Project Purity, like it was in Broken Steel, then the message would come across as more easily.

Fallout 3 did a lot to undermine it's own narrative. But to not know LP was a piece of crap you had to walk past computers in the room in which liberty prime resides, that you are forced to walk right up to, more than once, and ignore them. Which I suppose is entirely possible. Because its weird to put actual narrative threads in incredibly optional sections

This presupposes the robot was not used in new Vegas because I didn't play that

New Vegas takes place thousands of miles away from Fallout 3, which is in Washington DC.
