Trump Tells Republicans Not to Vote in 2022 or 2024
In a new statement that he would have posted on Twitter himself if his account was not permanently suspended for inciting violence, former President Donald Trump urged his supporters not to vote in the two upcoming elections if the Republican Party does not “solve” the supposed voter fraud that he has falsely claimed precipitated his loss to President Joe Biden.
“If we don’t solve the Presidential Election Fraud of 2020 (which we have thoroughly and conclusively documented), Republicans will not be voting in ’22 or ’24,” Trump declared. “It is the single most important thing for Republicans to do.”
After prominent Trump supporters similarly told Georgia Republicans to sit out the two runoffs in that state late last year, calling it “another rigged election,” voters ended up giving Democrats control of the Senate.
Well yeah of course it's difficult governing according to popular demand in the US. The second Trump became president the CIA or whoever sat him down and showed him footage of JFK getting shot and asked him if he had any questions. Attempting to do mild "populist" reforms as an elected official will get your entire proposal shot down by a long sequence of buttons and levers designed to kill anything good from happening. Trying to do major "populist" reforms has the Pentagon pull the heart attack gun out of the safe and ask if you'd like to resign first. At that point Trump as a singular figure can't do anything and his laziness and desire only for attention kills any sort of genuine ambition he had. He was trying to throw out the election results like 3 days before Biden's inauguration by just pulling random lawyers and aides in the room and asking what could be done, then he just gave up and disappeared. He already saw too much of how the sausage is made and never once had the conniving scheming zeal someone like Nixon had. Give up, go home has been Trump's entire career.
