Idk how desperately starved some american socialists still are for parasocial connections with politicians and to believe in "the mostly good politicians fighting on our side " and how they delude themselves into not seeing she and the others are unsalvagable and of debatable value/use at this point

It's just incredibly depressing to see someone express genuinely good political views for the first time in my adult life and then watch them kinda collapse on themselves like the empty suits they inevitably become.

Every movement needs leaders and icons and role-models. Would have been nice if she'd been one.
