This list is embarrassing. Strong "IMDB Top 250 movies what do you mean The Dark Knight is a better movie than 8 1/2 and what is a Tarkovsky" vibes. Imagine thinking 3 of the top ten greatest albums of the last 25 years are by Radiohead. Come on. Lauren Hill at 50? Not a single Charli, Janelle Monae, or Mitski album in the top 100?! First album by a woman is at 17 and it's fucking Lana Del Rey's worst album lol. It just gets worse the more I look at it.

I really do not understand what people see in Taylor Swift and Folklore

I was gonna say more but I had to remind myself not to care about Pitchfork lists

what else do I need to listen to, before I have the proper context for this?

A distraught weasel trapped inside the drum of a banjo, shrieking for scraps of food for all eternity.

Way too much Radiohead and Outkast.

This album list is some gen x/millenial in between's "alternative" playlist with breakthrough hits from other genres mixed in

Radiohead taking 3 of the top 4 spots is excessive, but Outkast is sitting at 38, 45, and 180 with their stuff. I don't think it's nearly as egregious with them.

E•MO•TION was when I really learned I wasn't straight. I was like, why is this album only popular with queer people, and why do I love it so much... oh.

I get Nu-Metal’s pretty cringe nowadays, but not even Hybrid Theory or Toxicity?
