Eh, I think they're very average politically for gen Xers starting to push 50. Apolitical libs. Jay called Elliot Page a 'he' in a recent video which made chud fans mad. I've been following the. Since like, 2008 and they're pretty much impossible to get a good guess how they are at all in their personal lives, which is fine by me. Except I know Rich is a bit of a smug know-it-all with edgy atheist tendencies.

Apolitcal mostly, some shitty takes of course, generally not able to see past their privileges even when they're takes are more or less right, but not outright chuds. For middle aged white dudes they're about as good as one would expect.

They also make an effort to just keep that shit to themselves for the most part. Enjoy them for what they do or don't but there is absolutely no way to know where any of them stand on most things.

Not realy, not based on what I've seen on YT but I don't stalk them on social media or particularly care about celebrity takes that aren't garbage.

From what I know they generaly:

-The Star Wars new trilogy pretty much killed their interest in the franchise. They are pretty self aware about the shittiness of the whole big franchise brain dead fandom(i.e worship corporate media beyond reason) they made a whole parody show about those types of "fans"(Nerd Crew). They also said the Marvel shit killed their interest in another big franchise for some time.

-Rich and Mike both love classic Trek/hate Kurtzman and they are doing it for the right reasons(i.e turned the socialist utopia into liberal brain worm modern day America for cheap anti-Trump/MAGA messaging) because there is a small section of the fandom that are right wing MAGA Trek chuds that use Kurtzman mediocrity as an excuse to hate on Hollywood "woke" and progressive politics e.g Midgnight edge and co. They also understand and criticize the shitty aspects of Trek too like Gene was a mostly shit person etc, TNG S1 and S2 had many problems, the TNG movies were brought down by Patrick's superstar dreams/ego etc etc...

-They mostly don't care about Reddit or their fans and find them creepy and uncreative. I can attest that sometimes the whole r/rlm often goes on long threads about the same damn jokes over and over, fun at first tiresome and embarrassing after a while.

So if they were conservative/right wing I can definitely see where they would have done things differently already e.g they would have loved to grow their personality cult but they did the opposite.

As others said they are apolitical left leaning liberals at best. But maybe I'm wrong as I said I don't follow their social media...

Mike specifically seems to have his conceptions about sexuality stuck somewhere in the 90s or 2000s. In his ST: Picard Plinkett review, he can't comprehend Seven-of-Nine developing a relationship with one of Picard's female crewmembers when she previously only had straight ones on Voyager. "Do women just decide to become lesbians when they get older? I guess being gay is really a choice after all!" Mike's brain fossilised shortly after he learned the concepts of "gay" and "straight".

Racism, sexism and overtly reactionary right-wing stuff seem to make Rich visibly uncomfortable

Mike somewhat, Rich is more of an edgy atheist guy but mostly a lib, Jay is a lib, Jack is the biggest lib (which is why the chud part of their fanbase hates him the most) and Josh is a hipster.

They're kinda clueless when it comes to politics which is why you go to them for movie opinions and yucks and just politely nod when they say dumb shit
