    I love how shitty Teslas are. It's unironically ironically good that the most insufferable people worship these terrible cars. If the build quality wasn't so much worse than any other car, it might not lock them inside when it spontaneously catches on fire.

        Sure, non-EV vehicles have a higher chance of combustion during a crash, but that combustion is significantly shorter and easier to control than an electric vehicle that burns.

        Likewise, all of the electric doors on a Tesla are prone to staying locked during a battery failure (e.g. when the battery is on fire). There is a manual release but it's tricky to get at, especially for a person who's just been in an accident, and the heat and speed of an EV fire leads to drivers and passengers being roasted alive.

        Basically the comment above, that poor build quality for Tesla's results in people being locked in during spontaneous combustions (something EVs are more prone to doing - fires that aren't linked to accidents) holds water and isn't misinformation.
