I love how shitty Teslas are. It's unironically ironically good that the most insufferable people worship these terrible cars. If the build quality wasn't so much worse than any other car, it might not lock them inside when it spontaneously catches on fire.
lock them inside when it spontaneously catches on fire
It's a heavy load to own the haters.
I hate Musk’s labor practices as much as the next guy, but no need to spread misinformation
https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1133254_fires-are-less-frequent-in-teslas-and-other-evs-vs-gas-vehicles
Sure, non-EV vehicles have a higher chance of combustion during a crash, but that combustion is significantly shorter and easier to control than an electric vehicle that burns.
Likewise, all of the electric doors on a Tesla are prone to staying locked during a battery failure (e.g. when the battery is on fire). There is a manual release but it's tricky to get at, especially for a person who's just been in an accident, and the heat and speed of an EV fire leads to drivers and passengers being roasted alive.
Basically the comment above, that poor build quality for Tesla's results in people being locked in during spontaneous combustions (something EVs are more prone to doing - fires that aren't linked to accidents) holds water and isn't misinformation.
elon musk is so anti-union, not even the parts of the cars he sells are allowed to stick together :michael-laugh:
Apparently, his anti-Unionism seeps into his private life, too.

They're so obviously awful. But even funnier or freakier than the dudes who refuse to see any issue with their precious :melon-musk: car are dudes who say something like:
"Ink ow my wheels are wimpy and the trim is falling off. And sure the welds are insanely terrible... But you gotta admit it's pretty cool. Iean it's a Tesla."
:bugs-no:
Like the definition of the sunk cost fallacy. No wonder why these rubes constantly get taken for a ride by shameless girfters.
What is the Sunk Cost Fallacy? The Sunk Cost Fallacy describes our tendency to follow through on an endeavor if we have already invested time, effort, or money into it, whether or not the current costs outweigh the benefits.
Tesla owners and Musk fanboys to a T.
Never heard of this one before but yeah it sounds close to it.
It's also used militarily. It doesn't make any sense at all but it certainly works when they wave the flag.
President Ghoul: "We must honor the memory of our brave fallen heroes by continuing insane wars that cost trillions..."
makes me think of that video of the tesla hitting a bump and bursting into flames, have a copy somewhere
I would but it's

(jk lol)
I think he had to get crazy with that caption cause Tesla kept DMCAing the video lol
He never returns my calls, so I assume not.
(also my favourite part is how the beat picks up right as it explodes into a shower of molten lithium and bone and gore)
I'll give it a shot! Fingers crossed!
(why are we talking like this?)
I could lay stick welds better than that after 1 week of welding training. What the fuck is this
Hiring people for $15/hr and giving them 8 hours of training before sending them into the tent factory to weld together electric vehicles.
Does it count as a weld if the metal isn't conjoined lol?
First comment on that post was "Proof?" and OP replied whith a hour long video of some dudes shitting on the whole car witj the time caption of the picture
here's the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMLYchmbbNw @ 20:31
these maniacs are putting a V8 engine in a Tesla :michael-laugh:
It looks like it's broken lol, no wonder these things explode into fireballs.
The car frame and upholstery is made out of C4, magnesium, semtek, plastic explosives with the car paint being made out of tannerite.
Beating Fiat/Chrysler at their own game is kind of impressive.

Anyone know why Toyota/Subaru/BMW are so low on the list?
I was a very bad welder, the second worst out of like 18 people in the class I had, but I at least knew what a puddle was
How much was the cost of the original car? jfc
I just had a fucked up thought - with the way the cars can permanently lock and burst into flames, there are a lot of parallels to how Kamikaze pilots were bolted into their airplanes. Is Musk preparing for a Pearl Harbor?
Man I dodged an incendiary bullet when I decided against getting a Tesla. Not that I was ever in a position to afford one 🙃
That's it there. Though I don't know if I could handle the attitude of a Tesla owner long enough to go to a secondary location with them.
Fuck, a monkey with a wire could do better than this.
Could infinite monkeys with infinite tig welders produce a tesla?
I did better welds in the high school workshop with a shitty MIG, they didn't even bother to clean up the slag. Guess they never heard "grinder and paint make me a welder I ain't."
