    Even with a chromosome reader it wouldn't be possible. Loads of people can go their entire lives believing that they're cis perisex women or cis perisex men without knowing their karyotype or sex chromosomes, or that there is even the possibility that they're genetically intersex.

      Also in the bloodstream, the portion of cells with Y chromosomes decreases over time. In older men they aren’t replaced with a second X, the Y is just absent.

        Perisex just means 'not intersex'. I've also heard "dyadic" used but that has some unfortunate implications (see: binarism and colonialism) so I specifically choose not to use it.
