So basically what I get from all these stories of landlords murdering their tenants is if you ever interact with a landlord (over literally anything), have your own weapon on hand and ready, as well as arm anybody there with you so they can help jump in and kill the fuckers before they kill you.

Especially if they are a boomer. You are basically dealing with a mentally ill person at that point and should be ready to defend your self. I just had this same situation pan out a few months ago when our landlord tried to get us out with 10 days notice.
