Why the fuck would anyone care what people call themselves? As long as it's not hurting or attacking anyone else, who the hell cares? Frank Herbert literally made up a bunch of bullshit terms and nonsense words for Dune and no one was like "hey, that's not allowed. You must write your story using words we already have." Shakespeare did stuff like that too, making up new phrases, but for actual terms and words we still use today. People are gonna come up with stuff that best expresses them, so who are we to stop them. Hell, if enough people like them they may become the dominant terms, and why stop progress like that out of obsession with maintaining the status quo of language?
