It wasn't a scam. Everything was spelled out in the white paper. They delivered exactly what was promised.

A "rug pull" occurs when the creators cash out of their crypto tokens and exchange it for real money, which causes the crypto's value to plunge.

So crypto is just like creating a stock based on nothing but speculation right? It's so absurd to me.
I may not make much money, but at least I'm not pissing it away on jpgs
every day somebody casually forks over life changing amounts of money for something stupid and worthless like a lazy lion jay peg.

Especially because stock, itself, is nothing but speculation. In one of the Hell of presidents bonus episodes I honestly think Matt had a galaxy brained revelation that kinda got buried at the end of the episode: Crypto has essentially taken the position of stock trading in the 1920s...which is a bit frightening because we're essentially at a point where we've made an "abstraction of an abstraction".
At least a stock theoretically gives you some sort of equity in an existing institution. Crypto is hot air all the way down, a gold rush except there's no metal and very little labor going into it.
:sicko-yes: mfw I see Americans playing highly volatile markets to cope with the falling rate of profit

It's :chefs-kiss: that these goobers invested in a thing based off the show where everyone except one person loses everything. Cartoons weren't lying about those revolvers where the barrel curves back toward the shooter. There was an entire market for those guns and these were the buyers. Those guns were mercy to keep them from doing things like investing in fake money.
lmao did that guy just meow scream at his trading app
sounded like my cat when her dang food runs out
