The House will vote on both President Joe Biden's sweeping social safety net plan and the bipartisan infrastructure bill on Friday, according to a senior Democratic aide.

For reference - 2021 congressional calendar

Both the house and senate have a vacation next week. And - of course - they have a week off for Thanksgiving too.

I have a crazy idea. If they don't actually vote tomorrow - cancel all their vacation days until they pass the bills.

    Members of congress have:

    • Free healthcare for life

    • Several times more days off than the average worker

    • Sources of income from under the table, behind closed doors, and for expenses. On top of the salary and a government pension afterwards

    • Enough connections that they can get whatever else they could possibly want.

    • An apparent need to flex on average US people by voting to give them crumbs.

          Whenever there's a headline with a title like "Senator X sold $1m shares of EvilCorp after..." - I know that Senator X broke the law and he didn't give a single fuck because he knows nothing ever happens. Also - the media will lose interest after a few days or after a week absolute tops.
