Basically the entire middle part was not in the original story. They added plotlines to make it a fuller story, why couldn't they have added interesting plotlines. The point of the movie is that you can't use violence to solve every problem, so we should have seen him solve from problems with violence and learn from it. Instead he was silently staring at pretty scenery while literal children disarmed him in the first day of travel.
Yeah green knight wasn't a bad movie it was just a really boring one.
